Spinview Primary School opened its doors in 1982 with Mr. Mtembo as principal. At this time some of the schools in District 6 were closed down. Some of these principals and teachers were redeployed to Spineview Primary School. One of the schools that closed down was Upper Ashley Primary School and another school was St. Phillips E.C Primary.
